Hey Guys, I'm really glad both of you made the cut yesterday. Heh, and me to! I'm off on vacation the rest of this week. 'can't say that I missed being there for Black Tuesday. It kinda feels like another piece of my soul got amputated yesterday. For me, the realatization of it won't fully hit until I get back next week.
Wendy called me and filled me in on our group's cuts. Javier was let go, which makes me really sad. He is a nice guy. As with most of the layed-off folks, he deserved better.
Makes me wonder if the character of the company is lost forever.
Well I'm still laying these blasted tiles in my house. It looks like tomorrow we'll get the rest of them laid out. More work to be done, but at least we will move on to the closing stages of this project. Boy do I know how to have fun with vacation time or what?
Close call. I wandered over to Ackland mall and restocked this morning. Afterwards, I decided to move to the NE section of Havercroft. I'm planning to relocate to a new burb. I recently acquired a few of the NecroTech skills and there's not a single NT bldg in Havercroft. As I was getting low on action I crashed to the street when freerunning into a factory. There were 5 zeds there and a couple of zeds in each of the surrounding blocks. I moved 2 blocks west and passed out. A bit later, I awoke and ducked inside a bldg. Whew! I've got to stop pushing my limits like that.
Ok, Moved on over to Shearbank. I only passed a few zombies in the surrounding neighborhood. Scrounged a couple shells for the shotgun in Stickling mall. Found a GPS unit and syringe in Whippey NT bldg. I still need a DNA Extractor.
Holed up in EHB junkyard (55,22) for now. I'll see how this burb suites me.
Anyone heard from Ramboid or Froggerknocker? We've got to get those folks more involved.
Ramboid the Tranny is standing in the middle of Date Drive in Roachtown just a few burbs due south of Pastor Bob. By the time you read this S/He'll probably be roach fodder by some upcoming newbie. No real agenda. Just hopping around hoping paths will cross to say howdy in real time.
An Ode to Magnum-Ramboid's duck.(To Muhammad Ali's meter):
Magnum, well he's just drake. Let there be no mistake. He found a dove. She thought it was love. He found a crow. She was a just a ho'. He found a duck. She just wanted to @#$%. He even found a partridge. Uh Oh, she was packing a buckshot cartridge. Now Magnum's gotta a scar and patch on his eye. But he still wants more of that feathered pie. . . .
This should make things interesting. Probably cause some rip in the urban dead continuum sending us all to . . . . Malhalla. HA HA HA HA HA. . . (fading)
In the burb of Shearbank on Date Street both Ramboid and Shotgunsamari now stand together locked in mortal combat. We are now asleep exhausted by our rush to end each other's misery, but when we awake I will wreak death and destruction on my counterpart and her damn duck will be my Mcnuggets.
Brad Pitt is Ramboid and Eddie Norton as Shotgunamari.
Shotgun threw the first punch, unfortunately his hand completely detached due to the forces and fell harmlessly into the gutter were rats feated on it. Taking it a bit more slowly he repeatedly thrust the tips of the exposed ulna and radius into the Ramboid's eye and chest cavities. "Damn duck!" he moaned as he felt the one eyed fowl hump his leg and kicked Magnum aside. "Fucking duck!" he groaned louder as Magnum stuck his beak through his leg. The other foot crushed Magnum's body leaving the detached head bill in his calf. Ramboid dropped without retaliation.
Or so, Shotgun thought. . . Shotgun saw the black ooze burst like spray from his trachea after Ramboid pulled out Magnum's head and stuck it through the back of Shotgun's neck. Stunned, Shotgun watched the damn duck's bill repeatedly appear through his chest and bowels from Ramboid's attack. A single sided event as Shotgun dropped to his knees, then fell backwards. Ramboid finished the job by implanting his foot into his face, causing it get stuck and dragging Shotgun's corpse around as he walked to dislodge it.
Oh sweet nectar!! I just got the nifty UD tools up and running on Firefox. I figured you guys would appreciate my using the last day of my vacation enhancing my gaming experience.
I'll have the Pastor wander on down to Roachtown. Souds like Shotgun is starting to enjoy his ghoulishness a bit too much.
Ok, Shotgun & Ramboid are both lying in the street. Let me know if either are in need of reviving. I'm hanging out two blocks west in the Tar Auto Repair.
By the way, I currently only have one syringe. So let me know if I can help one of you two. I can stay around in Roachtown for a day or two since I'm otherwise stocked up.
Feel free to revive either one or both if you need experience. They are just going to kill each other for now. My playing is so sporadic that I'm not likely to much use in a concerted effort. But if you know some place that has barricades with PKer's I can send over the boys/girls, camp out and start opening a hole or create a distraction.
Hey where did Shotgunsam & Rambiod go? Last night I stopped by Date Drive and both of you were gone.
I dealt out many of my stockpiled FAK's to the locals and then spent the night in ST. Paul's Church. (I thought it apropos to use the church as my safehouse.)
I'm thinking of heading North again to Shearbank again. I might even press on to Yagoton and/or East Boundwood. (I've learned to like suburbs with malls.)
I'm currently in a factory one click West of St. Dionysius's Hospital, Millen Hills.
Seems like I'm surfing the wave ahead of a horde of ghouls. Yagoton was starting to fall apart on me yesterday so I moved over here. I got a first hand feel for attacking a zombie in a darkened location. I happened upon a lone zed in darkned Club Dallimore (41,15). I must have shot at that zombie 7 times before drawing first blood. Seeing as how that zombie was at near to full health, I beat a hasty retreat.
I'm still touring Malton in general. Have you guys been to each and every burb on the map? Just curious.
huh - just randomly ran across dead mercat just now... hopefully that means reviving. The Craske building is empty, don't know where the party moved to.
Tonight in farthest SW Pegton, (80,59) Leaman Grove School. Lallandar (Lvl 42 zombie) brought down the last of the barricades while I was inside this school. We traded blows for quite awhile before I was able to put him down and dump the body. Recaded back to lightly. Be careful tangling with this dude, he's pretty tough. (I had to duck out, use a couple FAK's, and return to the battle to finally get him.) Wow!! This really got my blood pumping. HOOHAH!!!
notes from Dulston: I finally made it all the way over to Dulston (NE corner of the map).
Obsevered something something kind of funny in the safehouse I used for a layover: This guy walks in and kills Officer Murphy. Officer Murphy immediately rises as a zombie and kills the schmuck right back. An observing survivor revives Officer Murphy, and off he goes on his merry way. I cleared the body and left ot find somewhere else to hang out. Too weird.
Hey Maghat, Ernesto has started a new character he has already gotten killed. He is currently in North Blythville. Are you anywhere near the area? The Pastor all the way up in the NE corner (Dulston). It will take me awhile to get to him.
Look for Mister Sad http://www.urbandead.com/profile.cgi?id=1301924
I'm hung up in Pecoside for the night. I wandered into a Police station full of survivors and 2 zombies. The first guy in line was a Lvl 1 newbie. They had him down to 8hp before I came in and reigned death and lead amongst them!
Hoohah!! I love this game!
Needless to say after that and re-barricading the building, I'm low on action action.
Ernesto, If you read this your best bet for the week you are in Mexico is to leave Mister Sad lying down after he get revived. No one can touch you until you stand up again.
I've started moving South West. Now I'm in Santlerville, the Sweatman Motel. This is just a couple blocks away from Dowdney Mall. I stopped and picked up some ammo. I still need to re-stock on FAK's.
I checked my contacts and it looks like Mister Sad is alive again.
My plan is to slowly head towards that direction. I'll try to find a hospital and maintain the barricades at VSB so the Sad man can keep on healing everything he sees.
A duck goes into a bar and says, "Hey, you got cranberries?" "No" says the bartender. Next night the same thing. The duck goes into the bar and asks, "Hey, you got cranberries?" "No, now get the hell out!" replies the bartender. Goes on for several nights. Duck goes in one night and before he says a word the bartender says, "If you ask about cranberries one more time I'm going to nail you to that goddamn wall!" Next night the duck goes into the bar and asks, "Hey, you got any nails?" "NO!" the bartender rages. Duck says, "Got any cranberries?"
from Bernie Mac. My nephew comes to me and asks, "What's the difference between rhetorical and a realistic question?" I tell him, "Go ask your aunt if she'll sleep with the mailman for $50,000."
Moved over to Raines Hills today. Found Chibbett Lane Fire Station ruined with a couple resident zombies. I made short work of the zeds, repaired the building, and loosley caded the place. I may go back tomorrow and finish building the cades to VSB.
Well, I've only got one more survivor skill left to buy; Radio Operation. As far as I'm concerned this skill has little to no value. Oh well, I guess I'll complete the set. I've been keeping 200xp banked in the advent of my next death. Then, I'll quickly buy Ankle Grab & Lurching Gait.
Seeya around.
PS. I laughed at the cranberry joke. Shotgunsamari, have I mentioned how twisted you are? ('takes one to know one.)
I left Raines Hills and wandered south through Shearbank and Ketchelbank before finally finding a safehouse for the night in northern Barrville. Both Shearbank and Ketchelbank are liberally peppered with zack. Just about all the buildings I passed were in ruins. I didn't stick around, just double timed it through. I'm holed up in a hotel with a couple Ackland Mall Security members, both of which needed some medical attention. Luckily I still had a stash of kits to help out. I have a few more, but will save them for dire emergencies. No where to re-stock around here. Planning on pushing through to Brooksville tomorrow. Hopefully no hungry hordes bust in on us tonight.
A zombie tore down the barricades last night and left me with a few claw and bite marks. I'm ok. At some point Master Biter (Craske Boys) came in and fixed the cades. I dealt with the one zombie in the room and waltzed over to the Membery Arms. I wasn't sure that the Craske Boys would still be around here given the status of the neighborhood. I guess it takes a lot to keep these fellas out of their favorite pub. There's a good number of The Rambling Drunks here as well. Seems like a party.
Hey Gomorrah, Keep that banana away from me! Last time it took three days for the swelling to go down...
I'll spend at least another day here to recoop some action, and have a few beers while I'm at it.
The Pastor has reluctantly left the Craske Boys & Rambling Drunks in the Membery Arms. Sped through Shore Hills & N. Blythville to find shelter in Wykewood. Looks like I ran guantlet from the northen edge of the map and am getting back to greener pastures.
Willy is acting Squad Leader down in Crowbank. (I think they rotate the squad leaders to give us chance at minor command.) I hope I don't get them all killed.
Froggerknocker has shambled his undead self over to Houldenbank, GreatorRex NT (Rotter's Relief). If anyone is in the general vicinity can you go and help him out?
Well, Willy died for the first time. There is a PKer that seems to have a grudge against the DEM. Or possibly, she knows that DEM members will actually go through the effort to report the incident. Ha! Little did Christie O'Malley know that by killing me, I was able to gain 8 levels at once.
Strike me down and I will become more powerful than you can imagine...
On the brighter side, Froggerknocker appears human again in my contacts list. The Houldenbank Rotter's Relief must have worked out for him.
Hey Mister Sad, I saw that you were already revived. You should be able to get into St George's Hospital. It is barricaded to Very Strongly (VSB). I saw that JuanFu (50/60) could use some healing.
Spend your time collecting as many FAK's as possible. Once you are stocked up heal anything that moves. I mean it! Go outside and heal zombies if you can't find any people to heal. You need to heal another 14 times before you can buy FREERUNNING. Always keep an eye on where you are in relation to your entry point. Make sure you get back into the hospital with a few action points to spare.
Hey Mercat, I saw dipcup (KOS) inside St George's Hospital, Greentown.
I'm currently over in Crowbank, the Elsbury Arms. Watch it! We are getting hit pretty hard by a horde of ghouls. I'll be looking for a new safe house tonight.
The mall over in Vinetown seems to alwasys atract a large number of PKers. Hangout around us and we'll keep pinging them for ya.
I'm still hanging in a warehouse 1 block west of St George's hospital. Just finished a trip down to Marven mall and restocked on ammo.
The Pippard NT Building barricades were just about breached. I stopped and rebuilt them back to HB and alerted to occupants that they needed to finish the job.
Mister Sad and AficanPrincess, Let me know if you need my help. I'll be in and out over the weekend.
Congrats my man! You are firmly on the path of the medic now.
Keep plugging away with those FAKs. Once you get Diagnosis you'll be off to the races.
Oh yeah, now that you have the choice, try to sleep in Extremely Heavily Barricaded (EHB) buildings. Avoid spending the night in resource buildings since they are prime zombie targets.

We'll see what the UD deities do if anything.
My mistake.
In lieu of my monoloquing, the location is Roachtown and that's Date Drive.

So LexPharm had another wave of "departures"?
Ya'll good?
Yo Joe! Some interesting self-battling fight club you've got going there! :)
Brad Pitt is Ramboid and Eddie Norton as Shotgunamari.

dude - i'd like to see the comic version of that!
Is this what they teach you at ABI, Joe?
You need to find an excuse to come fix the 7900s here at Lexy. We miss your borderline insane sense of humor. Also you could teach us to draw BOOBIES!
By the way, when I say borderline, I'm referring to the inside the border.
Finally, I'm in the Craske Building. Rob, Joe, it's time for you to meet Gomorrah and the Playboys.
cool - I'm in marven mall in South Blytheville - I'll be in the Craske building (that's Lockettside y'all) tonight.
FYI, another zombie is in the building with Gomorrah. He's killed the cat and keeps taking down our barricades, but we've let him stay.
http://urbandead.com/profile.cgi?id=1163492
hope y'all had a good father's day!
got a new game - Zombie Fluxx - I'll bring it in when Rob is back.
I'm back in town.

It was good to see you again Slut Bunwalla. My DEM buddies and I are currently hanging out over on the East section of Houldenbank.
I see that the Greatorex NT Bld is an open door facility. Have you been working there as rotter relief?
Like a good neighbor, MCDU is there!
Ok,
I'm a bit peeved.
I just spent quite a few hours in Hooker Bank, Houldenbank. I've searched and searched, and still haven't spotted a single hooker. What a jip!
I promise not to douse her with fuel and light her on fire.
This outbreak is starting to interfere with my libido.
Blast it... quisling is alive and well in Houldenbank's Solomon Lane Police Dept. It appears I wandered into a powered NT again.
hi all - maghat is a dead head again - wandering up to Stanbury Village wasn't a good idea...
I'm back in Lockettside standing outside the craske building.
I'm currently in a factory one click West of St. Dionysius's Hospital, Millen Hills.

now both my folks are dead - maghat is hanging out in the craske building now, and slut is at a revive point in Houldenbank.
slut lives!
Mercat dies! I was hiding in a darkened bank, and some smartass setup a generator to kill me!
Hey,
I found a supply crate in a carpark, west side of Houldenbank. Inside were 7 cans of fuel. I was so hoping for an AK-47.
Anyway, keep an eye out of supply drops in your area. Who knows what you'll find.
Cool! I've never seen a supply crate.
On a side note, what time does Matt's gathering start tomorrow?
Merry 4th!

Just finished a trip down to Marven mall and restocked on ammo.
